TIPS AND TRICKS

Reduce MS Word Typos with AutoCorrect

Do you have common typos like “teh” for “the”?  Do you write long titles like “Business Development Officer” or “Regional Feedback Survey Report”? Use “AutoCorrect” and make your life easier!

  • On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options.
  • To turn on the spell checking corrections, choose Replace text as you type, then select Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker.
  • To automatically write long titles, from AutoCorrect options, type a shortcut for the long title at the Replace field (e.g. “BDO” for Business Development Officer) and type the full title at the With field. Then click OK.
Word will now make your corrections automatically!
